Zoom sells its AI receptionist two ways, and the two are priced differently. One works with whatever phone system you already have. The other sits on top of Zoom Phone. Which one is cheaper depends on how many minutes you use and whether you are already a Zoom Phone customer.
These figures are from Zoom’s own pricing and product pages, checked in October 2026.
This is part of Zoom Virtual Agent and does not need Zoom Phone.

On Zoom Phone, 400 minutes at $0.25 is $100 a month, plus your seats.
On the standalone plan, 400 minutes is the $29.99 base plus 300 extra minutes at a rate Zoom does not publish. So the standalone route has the lower entry price, and the Zoom Phone route has the clearer cost once you are past 100 minutes.
Before you pick a route: ask Zoom for the add-on minute price on the standalone plan, and whether the $0.25 rate on Zoom Phone carries a minimum commitment.
Both routes are self-serve. Zoom describes a no-code setup wizard, which is quick, and also means your team owns the updates when hours, services or answers change.
The receptionist answers calls and can send texts, such as reminders and links. Web chat, WhatsApp and social messaging are listed on a separate, higher Virtual Agent tier, and that tier is priced by contacting sales.
HiBell is a managed service: our team builds the agent with you, connects it to your calendar and systems, reviews real conversations and keeps improving it. Calls, web chat, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and SMS are all part of the same service, so you are not moving to a higher tier to add a channel.
You start with a free 30-day managed pilot, and usage and any phone or third-party costs are confirmed with you before launch. For a wider comparison, see what an AI receptionist costs and our top 5 AI receptionists.
Zoom lists its standalone receptionist at $29.99 a month for 100 voice minutes, or about $25 a month on annual billing. On Zoom Phone it starts at $0.25 a minute plus the cost of Zoom Phone.
No. The Receptionist with Any Phone plan in Zoom Virtual Agent connects directly and does not require Zoom Phone.
Not on the receptionist plan. Web chat, SMS, WhatsApp and social are listed on a higher Zoom Virtual Agent tier that is priced by contacting sales.
